Thanks Robin, I was just curious. I suspect that the 4.8 Patrols in Oz could be ISO 9141 compliant because their circuit diagram utilizes pin 7 on the OBD-II diagnostic socket. Check your socket to see if you have a wire in pin 7. You should also have wires in 4, 5, and 16. Also a member of the Patrol
forum from Saudi or UAE (not sure) said that he was using a Scangauge on his 4.8 patrol.
Diesel models don’t use pin 7, so are not compliant, but should be able to use Nissans Consult system and after some research, I think that their older Consult can be used on later models with OBD-II sockets, but software could be a problem and a plug adaptor would have to be made up or bought.
I’m surprised that there isn’t more talk about this subject on Nissan forums in Oz because it seems that owners of later model Nissan cars here are missing out on some valuable diagnostic technology. Maybe I should start a new thread.
I know there are some new developments in the wind, so we’ll have to wait and see.

Unfortunately these are all US based and there is very little testing on Oz patrols.
