Yeah, I know I blew it last time, so I'll try again.
Have dual batteries in Landcruiser; one starting, one deep cycle, but both are getting on and look like giving up. Deep cycle used for 39L Engel, fluoro lights and bilge pump shower. Do I replace with similar, or go dual starters, or dual deep cycles, like Optima, which will recharge quickly? I use a simple 4 position marine switch to isolate starting battery when stopped, returning it to 'both' when under way again. Comments regarding longevity etc of particular brands appreciated also.

g`day Greg, just a short question instead of an answer,,,,,,,,i run very similar accessories to you when camped .I have a Glind shower and thought your idea with the bilge pump was great because i`m not that happy with the water pressure/volume with the pump on the Glind shower, theres heaps of differet bilge pumps to choose from from boat shops etc and they are much cheaper than upgrading my current pump.Qestion ,,do you know what lt/minute your pump is and are you happy with the volume/pressure while showering?.......once again top idea Greg i`m going to look at some bilge pumps jeremy

Jeremy, the pump is a Rule 360 gph and has served us well for a number of years. We normally heat water in a big s/s pot, and then add a quantity to cool water in a 10 L plastic container to achieve the desired temp. The Rule then pumps warm water to the shower. Result is excellent. Switch inside shower enclosure enables on/off. We can even include a hair wash in 10 L. GregN
