Well, the cyclones are nearly done blowing and soon it will be snowing,

The gold is a-calling and the temperatures is fallin'

The wife's finished working and I've done with shirkin'

So it's off to Cue and Meeka for the gold that I seeka (sorry about that)

From there, it's Marble Bar - which I will be holding up

And then to Kunnunurra for a 'barra with me pup

A month will pass and so will we, up to Darwin in time for tea,

Come home through Alice and Great Central Road

With several kgs of gold for a nice towing load

It pays for the fuel so look for it I will

A few more bits pays the bar for the bill

Home in October, then you can all start

To sling schit at Bilbo and his V8 cart,,,,,,,,,

Yep - heading bush for about 6 months - April to October,,,,,,

Work hard, pay taxes suckers,,,,,,,,

Yeahahh!

Yep - I'll be returning to Perth via me old stamping ground of Laverton. I can always find "fuel money" around Laverton,,,,,,

If you want me, try about 125 kms up the Bandya Rd,,,,,,,turn right just after Swanons, turn right again at Fishers well, turn left at Butcher Well, Go straight on to Red Well......STOP, pick up gold, come back the way ya went in. Easy eh!

;)

Kevin,

"Is there still any gold around Bandya?"

Still a few bits around, but nothing like it was 10 or 20 years ago.

It's getting harder all the time with a lot of new chums doing it.

We hope you have a great time and find lots of au Bilbo. Just make sure you stay over that side of Oz, 'cause we would like to find whatever's left on the north-eastern side. Hope to be out in the wilderness for a week in about ten days.
Er . .um . .Bilbo, ya wouldn't like to swap dogs, would ya? We got a Xterra-70, and ML3500 and a staffy. I think the staffy might be the weakest link in our au hunting efforts. He's (Cooper) a great guard dog. . . well as long as the cows don't look at him, an he's a great eater - but he jus doesn't seem to be able to sniff out the old yella. Where did we go wrong?

Tell me about it, we'll be going East as far as Plumridge Lakes then back to Norseman and Perth, a good campfire, a couple or so ports will help keep out the chill

Ol Bilbo's gone a humtin
For the fithy yella stuff
I know that when he finds it
He can never find enough

It sounds like lots of fun
Till you get the real goss
Hard work, back breakin slog
It really is quite gross

The beeps all day can send you sore
There's snakes around, the ground is poor
Gold fever dragged you out the door
But still it leaves you wanting more

Drag that chain and dig that hole
The fever never wanes
Retire to camp to slake a thirst
Now full of aches and pains

So Bilbo's gone a huntin
He tells us there's no lack
No doubt he'll want to share his wealth
When he finally gets back :))

Have fun there Bilbo, never done any of that sort of thing. Just a little noodling up round saphire being my acquaintance with searchng dirt. That is apart from looking for seeds growing, insects eating the seedlings and plants I am trying to grow. Hope it doesn't get too wet for you over the West.

Have a great time and I hope you find some gold to boot. You can MM with GPS coordinates of major finds that would be appreciated. I look forward to getting there one day - probably 4 years off at least. Now you know that you can't take it with you.

I am envious of your care free life style and think I am rapidly getting to that point in my life.

Be careful and hoping to hear from you on your return.

Kind regards

kind regards.
