Howdy All,
ive noticed on the dash of my 1997 4.5 / 80 series Auto , that when i pull the stick through to D , that all the PRND21 all light up except D , is this normal as my mates 1993 80 series his D lights up ? was wondering if theres a fault in my dash or TOJO , decided that the D was too
bright for Night time , any answers most welcome :)

Computer has been down, just read your post. I have wondered this too. I have a 2000 Toyota Spacia (Soccer Mum van), and 1999 Prado. D doesn't light up in either of them, but all the rest do.
Not sure if it is the glode or a "Toyota Thing", but i have learnt to live with it. Figured cost too much to track down a dodgy globe (that may not be dodgy!)
