I have set my dual cab (Triton) up in a manner that currently suits my needs.
I would like to have had lift up side windows as they would assist in access to some of the items that I carry.
I have a Cargo Drawer fitted that is 1500mm long and fits between the wheel arches. On this I have installed the Fridge Slide for the 60l Engel at the front passenger side. I put the fridge on a slide to allow easier access for gear stored behind the fridge.
Behind the fridge I can fit 3x 20l jerry's with a small area left for odds and ends.
Along side the fridge I have a space case box that is 310w x 1350l and 400h. In that I have all the recovery gear, spares etc.....
I have also installed a shelf that is removable above the drawer. On this I have plastic boxes that have the food, clothes and other items that I don't place on the roof rack.
On the wheel arches I have fuel jerry's. The position of these and the water jerry's on the drawer allow the additional weight to be carried over the axle.
In the space between the drawer and the side of the ute you can fit the compressor (I have an ARB in carry case) and any additional fuel or water in a 20l jerry as they fit under the lip of the canopy mounts.
I have also fitted an ARB Canopy Rack which I use for the Freedom Tourer Tent c/w poles, and a 300 x 550 x 1100 space case for and additional bedding or clothes.
If travelling without the trailer the swags also go up there.
A fair bit of mix and matching goes on if we travel with the trailer as all the additional fuel and water gets carried in the trailer.
I have an ASPAN fitted as
well as a normal Cig Lighter outlet fitted, the ASPAN for the Engel and the Cig outlet for the 12v
camp light etc..
I have a long range fuel tank fitted and if they were available when I got the rear bar I would have gotten the rear wheel carrier bar and fitted a
water tank where the spare lived.
The best part about the Cargo Drawer is that when I get
home I can remove the drawer less the mounting frame and clean out all the crap that has accumulated during the trip.
Sorry I don't have any pics of it set up for a trip.
Cheers Kev
