Where are you?
In Brisbane my local woolies garage had diesel at $1.10 pre Easter and it went up to $1.16 at Easter.
Now down to $1.14.
Suppose you need to allow for the 8c/litre petrol tax Qld doesn't charge, but all the other states do. :o)

Petrol pricing was a joke over easter. Saw petrol for $1.179 on the thurs with all prices going up to $1.299 by that night. You can't tell me there's not some sort of collusion between petrol companies or they wouldn't all know not to put the price up above $1.299!!!!!
Then they started to fall Good Friday and then by Sat. I saw the odd price back at $1.179. Oh yeh and go the ACCC.....roar (toothless tiger roar that is)

If you look at the EO graphs for petrol prices you will see that the graphs show a squiggle repeated every 7 days with a peak and a trough.... until it gets to easter where it peaks and stays there.

I've given up on Woolies. Not worth the effort. Their price over Easter was $1.18 a litre when all the independents were charging $1.14. Even today the price differential is still the same. Therefore the 4 cents discount is worthless. I no longer bother shopping at Woolies or buying their fuel.

We've been shopping at Aldi lately. No fuel docket, but a saving of between $50.00 & $100.00 on the shopping. Better than 4 cents a litre off 50 or 60 litres of unleaded. It's worth noting that a bigger percentage of Aldi products are made in Australia than the big supermarkets stuff.
