Bush Winch

Thanks - I found the thread.

The points made were valid. One comment I saw on the website was that the rope was designed such that it would break before the bolts (if I read this correctly) if true then me alleviate some concerns.
However the biggest concern is would it do the job. I suspect all winches have issues (not having had to use one myself).

I was interested because I reckon the hand winch would basically kill me and the electric winch would be a pain to have hanging out the front (apart from cost of it and an appropriate bull bar and may be some suspension upgrades due to the weight). So what was being offered here seemed good.

It would be good to see comments from people who have actually purchased and used this product in real bad situations not just demos I reckon.

Not sure if it will handle the bigger 4wd either (due to weight).

Hi - have you bought/used one ?

As you say they are a bit expensive. I reckon if they dropped their price a bit they would sell a few more - good to have as a backup if nothing else.
