I am thinking about getting one of these and want to get some
feedback from anyone who has one fitted. It looks like a good system as it monitors the temperature of the actual engine and not just the water level in the radiator. You can also have it hookup to your low oil pressure light. One problem is that it would alarm when starting the engine untill the oil pressure comes up. Is there some way to make the unit turn on say 10 after the ignition is turned on?

I'm surprised Mike harding hasn't jumped in yet.
Yep, sure is. A simple 555timer with a relay would do it, but you'd have to build it.
Not sure what's availiable commercially. Have you had a peek at Jaycar etc ?

I've heard a little bit about one-shot relays. But I don't know much about them or if they are suitible for the application.
