Hi Doug, I have just been reading some archived posts about the Garmin GPS.
I am heading off to central oz with friends in July, from there we are going into WA to
Warburton & then up to
Broome,
Derby and the GRR & on to
Katherine.
A lot of your older posts recommend the Garmin Quest, and I have pretty much decided on buying that particular GPS from Johnny Appleseed over the web, but now I have noticed that you have updated to a Nuvi 660. As I can't afford to go to that much expense due to other relevant stuff that I need for the trip, is the Quest still a good buy for outback travel...does it give coordinates?
Cheers,
John D

Yes the Quest is still on the market and much better than
mine and cheaper as
well with a bigger memory and brighter screen, Plus you will get a CD with it with the Mapping software on it,The screen is a bit smaller than most but still a very good unit. It will have GRR on the software. The Nuvi is a damn good unit but does not record Tracks and Routes.
