Hi again, I just got ozie ce registered and running and encountered two problems.

1. when replaying track it reverts to world map which comes with software and therefore cannot see a plot of my travelled track

2. While in the process of loading the track for replay, the pda clock is reset to 2085, I think my grandkids will be using it by then and not me!

Interesting software, making me angry.

Some help will be appreciated.

cheers

Hello again - new programs are always fun..

Firstly - while there are very erudite OziCE users utilising this forum another option is to ask questions at the OziExplorerCE users group as well to improve your chances of getting the answer you want

groups.yahoo.com/group/Ozi-UsersCE

Ok problems..
1. The supplied World Map usually only pops up if the program can not find a map of the area where the tracks/waypoints are located. I am guesiing that you are running your preferred maps from an SD card and have not set the configuration correctly i.e. the program is looking in the default directory (where the world map is) and not to your storage card...so cant find a better map.

In configuration there are two settings - Map and Data files and another Map Image Files. Within the Map Image Files section make sure The Map Image File Path 1 is set to the directory containing the maps your want to use.

The Map and Data files section refers to the location of the "map" files (ie calibration files) and the directory where you want to store your data (waypoints/tracks) - I keep my "map" files in same directory as the image files ...but whatever - just make sure path is set to the directory in which your calibration files are.

You can keep the data file path set to the default value but it is safer to store data on the SD card in a dedicated directory..reason..if the battery goes completly flat on your PDA all internal memory (installed programs and stored data) can sometimes be erased...data on SD card is not lost.

2. Weird. Never had this probelm or even heard of it before. If I get time I will investigate.

Cheers
Greg

I sent one final shout after him to stick to the track, to which he replied “All right,” That was the last ever seen of Gibson - E Giles 23 April 1874
