What would be some issues with a Toyota multivalve turbo diesel in a 1996/7 80 series Landcruiser with 150,000km?? Anything information would be great
What are the kw and torque figures in a stock engine??
Thanks in advance,
Seanny

If it passes a vehicle inspection then I don't imagine you would have any issues at all. I'm quite envious actually.

Seanny,
If there's no big pools of oil lying under it, then buy it. We bought our 97 model in 98, with 87K on it. Now has 205K on it. Any problems would be documented here, and on L'cruiser site.
Did do the pump up, as it was a bit dead - $3100!!
125 kw & 380nm, I think. Hooroo...

Thanks for the support. Will be quite serious on this one.
Passed vehicle inspection. Took it for a 100 odd km trip up the highway. Excellent.
Bye for now,
Seanny.

Marvelous motor, no issues, some have problems with the lack of highrange locked 4wd due to the ABS being fitted, so a $100 switch is added to the dash that locks the diff in highrange and disables the ABS-good for pebbly stuff outback, when ABS wont stop you.
