Hi Guys

A few days ago i had to clear some furniture out of a holiday house..Now to cut a long story short i never go over 80 km's while towing at anytime/anywhere..I had swapped my new 2 year old 6x4 with my brother inlaws 6x4 caged trailer for a couple of days to do the job...

While driving back from Phillip Island with the missus an almighty scrape was heard from behind and i thought gee the tailgate has fallen down so i pulled over..

What i saw was bloody frightening, the rails from the towball to under the trailer had split at the front of the trailer causing the trailer to tilt back up into the air, obviously the weight was at the back. When i stood on it to level it back out it went snap. So you could'nt tell the front from the back..

Speaking to my welding friend he said being left outside the tubler stuff rusts from the inside out hence the problem..And their was no signs of rust on his..

The inlaw hired a trailer for the trailer..

The end result could have been, actually i hate to think about it...

So guys get out their and jump on your trailers/have a good look

cheers
