Hi guys,
been scouting around for rear wheel carriers for my Ghanaian troopy. Reason being that the current location I intend filling with a long range tank, as mine unfortunately didn't come with one. Now, Kaymar obviously is very good, but a hell of a lot of money when I have access to some pretty good welders for free. I am sorry if it has been asked before, but has anyone ever designed a basic carrier in any shape or form that atttaches to the chassis. The cheap way would be to get a Toyota door mount, but I don't really want to do that to my door on African roads...
Any help gratefully recieved,
Gil

Mate where are you from ??????
I have the same thing going through my head at the moment with my 100 ser L/C and I saw a rear bar that was home made for a nissan so Im going to try and find out more info and if I do I will post it but for now its beefy mounts on a machined spindle and a good set of bearings (IE wheel bearings ) so it swings easy with all that weight , now its time to draw it up and have a go ??

I could be wrong, but from info contained in the original thread my guess is the writer is located in Ghana, Africa.

'.... carriers for my Ghanaian troopy...'.

'...but I don't really want to do that to my door on African roads...'
