Today I was servicing one of my trucks, I have finished the wheel bearings and swivel hub bearings, So I decided to do the belts and hoses .
Well the other day I got the rego cert and Gavin said I see you fan blade is broken, He suggested I change it due to it affecting the water pump, EG : out of balance.
So today I was changing the fan blade as I had a spare thanks to the wreck I bought last year, when I noticed that when it broke it nipped the radiator core and put a tiny hole in it.
Had I not changed the blade I may not have have seen it, I here you say don't you
check the fluid levels, Yes I do but on this occasion I had dropped the water out of the radiator to change the hoses and top it up with fresh coolant, so if I didn't remove the shroud to change the blade, I wouldn't have seen it.
As I said a little advice went a long way.
Cheers Steve.

The radiator is minimal repair compared to a rebuild on a 1hz, Although I have a spare one due to the wreck.
It to needs work but as you know time of the road is lost $.
The wreck was $500 the parts I have removed were:
Motor, gearbox, transfer, diffs front and rear, dif housings, wheels,4 large tins of Toyota nuts and bolts, etc It was a black fella truck, they thought the motor seized as it happens it was a rear wheel bearing and a snapped axle, I bought it of a guy that was leaving town who bought it of the black fellas.
A lucky day Steve.

sounds like the shoe was lost for the want of a nail the horse was lost for the want of a shoe etc till the war was lost but in reverse. The motor was saved by change of a shroud etc.
Whenever I go to fix something I have to fix the
tools or something else until I forgot what I was going to fix in the first place.
Yeah, I need as much advise as I can get.
