Building a slide on camper

I've got this burning desire to build a slide on camper for the back of my ute. I've got the basics sorted out but I want to include a pop top roof in it for a bit more head room. Before I get to deep into designing anything I thought I would ask the
forum if any one has built a pop top before and how they went about it.

Hi Steve
Buy a standard poptop roof first to the overall size you think the vehicle can allow then work out the frame
Did it 30 years ago on a nissen long wheel base ute, took the sides off and made a flat bed tray

designed my own , but had a aliminium fabricator to make the box with pop top roof, fitted out myself ,got one
