For a total cost of about $1000 to you after rebates you can't go wrong. The advertised improvements to economy and performance are fair representation of what I go on my TD Jackaroo.

Hi Davewest
I had dieselgas fitted to my 1985 HJ60 in Dec last year. Only done 1000 km since then mostly around the suburbs. I did it mainly for environmental reasons but my reserved impression is that 1. the motor runs cleaner with a little more power 2. the fuel economy is about the same. On 4 June I'm off on a 10K Km trip to the gulf (from
Melbourne north via Newel Hwy returning through
Alice Springs )and will have a lot more info after the trip. Towing a 16 ft full height van (about the same vintage as the Landcruiser) At 75 I hope to live another 15 years or so but don't expect to get my money back on the installation cost of $4400 with $2000 rebate. If you go ahead make sure the supplier is quite specific about re-routing the exhaust system and where the gas filler is to be placed. I had a great deal of trouble getting an adequate exhaust system fitted after the installation.
cheers Franles

Had it fitted to a 80 series 1hz. Dont get it fitted at
Perth Auto Gas in Bayswater. They did a bleep job and took way longer than they were meant to. Ended up having to get it re tuned at a different place and they couldnt believe how the system had been tuned. Happy now that its all working. Bit more power and range for $1K after rebates.

Al,
When they put the spud valve in(which I believe controls the flow of Gas) they set it up the wrong way. I went to another gas
shop(car docters in Port kennedy((no affiliation or anything))) and they had a look at it for me. I made a lot of phone calls trying to chase up the bloke who runs diesel gas wa to get it fixed and they sorted it out at PK.
