Hi folks,
I use a Dell Axim x50v PDA for a variety of things including as a GPS. I currently have a 1gb SD card and a 2gb CF card.
What is the biggest of these cards that people have used?
I see that 2, 4 and 8gb CF cards have halved in the last 4 months. The 8gb card would hold plenty of maps and more music than I could want for a trip........
I just want to be sure the larger storages work before I buy.
Thanks,
NickR

Nick,
Dunno about the Dell, but I have an iPaq 2210 connected to GPS and have both SD and CF cards and I find that it doesn't work too
well when navigating AND playing music.....the music tends to get chopped up. Perhaps the old thing doesn't have enough RAM to run it all properly.
Re the eBay cards.....DONT DO IT. I got scammed with a 2GB CF Card for my camera....it was a fake and doesn't perform anywhere near as fast as it should. I know this because I have a high end Nikon camera which really tests the limits of the cards, particularly when downloading them to computer.
The best place I have found to buy REAL Sandisck cards if from a mail order company:
" target="EOF" class="lbg">www.expansys.com.au/n.aspx?f=28
No affiliations etc, just got a good product at fair price with quick turnaround.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mark
