G,day all. Has anyone any advice on how often these filters can be washed and reused?.
I have two and alternate them as required but have noticed a deterioration of the surface. Any advice on this would be appreciated.
Thanks

I tried to wash
mine out the other day, according to the instructions on the filter.
Followed the instructions faithfully (first time ever), and the dirt inside the filter went to mud, and stayed in the filter.
Ended up giving it the flick, and replacing it with a new (Ryco) one.

tu, filter is supposed to be washed every 10000km max or ideally every 5000km. Maybe yours was a bit overdue in that dept. Ryco might be cheaper but it is a throw away.

I do the same as you - have two Toyota filters, and wash them when required, and alternate them. But with the factory
snorkel, they don't often get dirty.
Someone said here recently, that they are good for 3 washes, but seen nothing else to this effect.
