I've always struggled to find information out regarding which 4WD's will all fit the same rims (or which rims fit which 4WD's), taking into consideration diameter, width and usually most importantly and difficult to determine spoke quantity and offset.

For instance, I've heard 16x8 rims for LC80 will fit LC105 and GQ.

Right now I'm trying to find out if 15x8 Sunrasia rims from a 1990 Hilux will fit my LC80?

Does anyone know if there is a website that someone has made the effort to create a matrix of compatible vehicle and rims?

Thanks for those who can help me.

95% of 6 stud paterns are the same the problem is that some 4wds with 16" rims have bigger brakes & a 15" wont fit over the caliper/disc size & most current models have different off sets due to independant front ends so it makes life harder these days.every time you buy a different car you will need to buy another set of spare rims/tyres & to answer your question the off set will be ok & if its an early 80 yes if its a later model some had the bigger disc

Mines a 1996 model. Not sure about break size but if it got larger than earlier models then i'm sure is bigger on the 96 model.

The first 80 series came out with 15" rims, but after that year they got bigger brakes and 16" rims.

You're absolutely right about importance of offset. I had the same problem getting this info a while back. I used ROH application guide to assist me. May not have all you want but did help.Check ROH website or member message me and I'll email it to you. JD

I have a rim fitment table for king rims. I found it on the internet some time back and cannot using the web but did print off a copy.

For the LC80 (1994) the offset for 15x8 as requiring negative offset of 23mm (for their rims).

It lists Hilux (leaf sprung suspension - no mention of year) for 15x8 also as requiring 23mm negative offset.

Hi Alex,
Lets start with one major Furphy you've been fed,
"For instance, I've heard 16x8 rims for LC80 will fit LC105 and GQ."

16x8 is the only thing LC80 and LC105 wheels have in common, the 80 series wheels are 6 stud. The 78/79/100/105 series wheels are 5 stud. Your 80 series wheels have more in common with the GQ, both being 6 stud.

The 1990 HiLux wheels and the 80 series are both 6 stud and the same pattern so that's a good start. As long as the offset is the same they should be fine.

Why 15x8? If you want to change wheels on your 80 series why don't you keep an eye out for genuine Toyota 16x8 rims. For an 80 series they can be bought for a very reasonable price on the secondhand market.
The range of 16" tyres is far greater than the 15" range.
