Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has a 90 Series GXL (petrol) with a dual battery system &/or cargo barrier they could post/email some pics of please? Google hasn't helped this time :o(

I'm looking particularly for pics of where a dual battery cradle is mounted under the bonnet, and also where the mounting points for the cargo barrier have been installed.

If a Milford barrier is fitted how much space is lost behind the seat?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

G'day Dave,

I sent some with instructions to Bonz some time this year. I don't have the email but he may still. Otherwise, I probably have the photos and can cobble something together for you. I can also help you with the cargo barrier. will hopefully get this done for you in the next couple of days mate.

kind regards,

Jeremy.

Hi Dave

If you move the char can to the drivers side you can fit a N70 battery on the passenger side.

Derek.

The image may be too big of a Giff file that can't be used.

Not sure if this will help or not this is from inside a Grande including water tank directly behind seat but in front of cargo barrier.

see if these help. with the 2nd battery on the drivers side it was real easy to install - very simple actually. also since these photos i have added LPG which sits on the passenger side towards the windscreen edge.

Hi Mick, I did send you an email saying that I would be busy all day that saturday and wouldnt be able to make it. Sorry will check email when I get home just to check that it went to the write person LOL. I did mean to get your mobile off you as I was down seven hills/toongabbie area most of the day and might have been able to catch you some where along the line on your way home. Glad to hear your happy with the tint. I new you would be. Glen puts pride in his work and gets it done quickly. He is very good with stereo instalations as well. He did my hilux for me amp, head unit, split speakers,2 in front and twins in the back plus a 6 stacker cd behind the rear seat had it all done in about 3 hours mind you was done the night before we went away for memory. Also he does alarms. All the best. Regards Steve M

Re the Cargo Barrier, it depends on the model. If you have a TX or VX with the dual airconditioning, there may be hassles - I know that Milford weren't doing one. No issues with RV or GXL.

Re batteries, heres some photos from the 90series V6. Its all pretty complicated, as you may have to move the charcoal canister and lengthen the battery leads, depending on the arrangement you want. I know a few people who simply upsized their starting battery to a decent N70 battery and then used a low voltage cutout set at about 12.0V.
