Further to my previous post on this matter, I inquired from ARB re the availability of a
Snorkel for an NS 3.2 Deisel Pajero R Auto and received the following reply,
"There will be one coming out shortly for the automatic. The manual variant has just been released. Hopefully auto will not be too far away."
So here's hoping.

Why would the auto be different?
Surely the
snorkel doesn't affect the DPF?

I have no idea, I have asked this question of a number of people and can get no suitable answer.
The Vic Pajero Club
forum is full of these comments but nodody knows the answer.

Time for a bit of conjecture....
The autos have a DPF, the manuals don't. There is extra logic in the computer for the DPF burnoff, which seems to be achieved by richening the mixtrure so that the EGT is high enough to burn out the DPF.
This process was a hurried effort by Mitsubishi, and was badly flawed, requiring Japanese techs to come to AU to find a solution. This solution was programmed into vehicles from December and is probably still in progress.
So, in order for the
Snorkel to be "passed" and not get the blame for more woes, extra testing is required on autos, and the DPF fix would need to have been applied first.

I hope you are correct.
I have had the DPF fix installed but at this stage I only do short trips, 10KM or less, so it will be interesting to see whether the DPF fix works.
