Would anyone have any suggestions of holiday accommodation for 8 adults in the Parkes and Forbes area, for 3 nights, 9th, 10th & 11th of January 2009.

Hi Julie, the Apex Caravan Park in Forbes is hard to beat and is right on the river, too.

I second that, we just spent 2 days at this park and it was immaculately maintained and
well grassed with a very
well set up outdoor kitchen. They had cabin accommodation overlooking the river as
well, though we were in a camper trailer.

There are 4 Caravan parks in Forbes, all offer good accommodation. The pick of them would be the APEX or the Big 4. There are some nice motels one new one on the newly filled lake.
There is nothing on in the town that weekend so you should have no problems getting accommodation.
