The area around Daly Head might provide for some beach driving, but some of the tracks could be on private property.Marion Bay caravan park is quite a nice place to stay. The campgrounds within Innes NP are basic and could be very windy , a more protected camping area is
Shell Beach (only pit toilets), or try for the old buildings at Inneston which are rented out by the NP people.

did many trips to the YP and the best beach was at the southern end of the dusthole beach accessed by 2wd and a few ks of shanks pony to the fishing gutters.
at majour risk of offending YP and if nothings changed it is reeeeeely worth the extra drive to the west coast of the EP id fishings your thing.
it goes from hit and miss to dead easy

Thanks for the vote of confidence Bucky....... haha

To answer the original question:

Yes there are several sections of the west coast of the YP that you can drive along, on the beach. Areas around Balgowan, Cape Elizabeth etc and there are some larger sand dunes due west of Minlaton (take the road to the cemetery and just keep heading west).

Once you get here, feel free to give me a shoutl and I will see if one of our members can assist you further.

Our club is trying to get some detailed mapping including those GPS weigh point thing-a-me-jigs all set out for blokes like yourself, so we can just email the info to you. We have another mapping weekend coming up later this month. Member Muddy Doh has the info that we have collected so far.

Cheers

Roachie

Julio

Head down the newsagent and grab yourself a copy of the lastest Caravan & Motorhome magazine. There is a realy good DVD with this month issue on the Yorke Peninsula. I'm not sure if it is going to answer your questions but it will give you a great idea of what to look forward too when you get there.
