Hi again,

I have just release a new Members feature where you can directly load photos into the forum.

To access this system use the Insert Image button and upload your photo (please resize to max 800 pixels before update - if you can, this will improve performance of the upload process). Once the upload has completed a little link is placed in the edit page (do not change it - else it will not work). Then you can preview/submit and the images will be shown.

Please do not abuse this by loading silly icons or irrevelant images.

As usual please report bugs to me.

As a test here is a pic for you:

It currently resides in your Gallery and is visible from you Rig Profile and also your My Home page. I am working on this more tomorrow and there will be a limit (not sure what this will be and how it will be managed yet - but I have some ideas to work on).

LOL Motherhen ............ oh I hate it when someone says its idiot proof .............. kinda leaves one in a room pondering if one should ask for help and prove one is an idiot LOL.

I kinda call it the Brian factor ....... :) I can build your home but struggle with which button to push............... wife buttons don't count :)

I tried it on the first one but it was rubbish. I can send the files to your primus email if you still want them.

Now carry the tripod behind my seat.

Hot damn .... this is a major twechnical breakthrough for me !!!

BUT .... it wouldn't work the way David has described it .... I ended up highlighting the path in the lower section of the 'insert image' box, copying it and the pasting it in the section above, clicked on PreView to confirm annd then ..........voila !

You must do it the way I mentioned else it will not work - it will preview fine one your local computer if you copy and paste the link from the lower file box to the top but it will not upload.

When you add a photo using the buttons at the bottom what happens?

Righto, David ....
Here are my steps : Click Load Image
Click Browse
Select picture from my PC drive C
Click Load

This gets me the same error message as Steve NT below!

*******************************************
Tried again, using the same steps, but this time :
I put a HEADING in the description box,
Clicked Load
and voila ... me tent appeared !!

*******************************************

David, am not quite sure of your statement in follow-up 2 above:

>> it will preview fine one your local computer if you copy and paste the link from the lower file box to the top but it will not upload.<<

But didn't it upload anyway .... I can see it !!

Or did I miss summat here ?? Not having a shot here, just don't quite follow yet .....

All good I have also fixed the description not entered bug so you should be able to load a pic without a description however you really should always put on in.

Anyway it appear that you are now up and running. I did notice a bug in the email copy that craps out when trying to open up the image I will get to this tomorrow. I need some sleep now.

My comments above are related to your mention of copy the text from the box below and paste it to the box at the top - this will show you the image in preview. But will not upload it to the system. Anyway you have it now and the Description bug should be fixed so all is good.

Steve,

Are you refering to a post showing this error or is this when you are trying to upload? I am just fixing an issue if you post mulitple images one after the other without a space between the image tags - this should solve one issue.

You are not able to delete photos from your profile once they are linked to a forum thread - I am still working on this a little bit as the system will auto remove images uploaded in the forum folder if you have not used them in a thread. This will be updated tomorrow.

Steve,

Found the error it is related to leaving the Description blank. This has caused a few issues already. I have now resolved this and cleaned up the images in your profile. Please try again when you have a moment let me know how you go.

PS: You can leave the Description blank now however it is better to put one in as it helps identify the photo later on, as the description is linked directly to the picture.

I think I had about 5 attempts and now all the photos are in my Member's Gallery in the Forum folder.

How do you delete them???

All the other photos in my gallery seem to have a delete option...

Looking at those pics to many places I have been just wants me want to go back......... I am sure I will manage at least 6 to 8 months off in the next 2 years anyway :)
I love this country and I love even more seeing someone elses perspective
Thanks mate
