mine has a three way fridge it is about 2 years old . the other day the frezzer started to defrost and then the frigde stop working .( it has been running on 240v ). when it is plugged in you can feel that the heater part warms up but nothing happens . at the bottom of where the heater is (flue ) there is a yellow like substance there . when the fridges are made do they put a die in the liquid ?

Maybe you should be asking the manufacturer!

I believe that those 3 way fridges sometimes benefit from being turned upside down and given a bit of a shake. Apparently the stuff in the tubes can get stuck and cause the fridge to cease working....but it can sometimes be fixed by the method described.
Worth a try IMHO
YMMV

from my limited knowledge that yellow substance is a corrosion inhibitor added to the refrigerant(ammonia, hydrogen, water mix I think??), which would indicate there is a leak in the system somewhere if you are seeing this yellow substance. If the fridge is not working on 12v, 240V or Gas this would also point to a refrigerant problem I would think.
If you have a look at campertrailers.org I think there is an article there about how three way fridges work?
