Hi need some mechanical/technical advice on whether a Model RD01 ARB locker with 4.88 ratio fit my 4 runner diff.

The locker was off an early model hilux, that has been rolled and is uninsured, and I have the opportunity to get the lot for free.

I have been waiting for 3 days to get an answer from ARB.

Funny I have half the money put away to lock up both diffs, which means if ARB answered my question they would possibly be fitting this diff and a new one for the front in the next week or so.

But then there was a thread a while ago asking if companies still provided customer service.

if more info is needed I will try and get it for you

Just get the lot for free, if it doesn't fit yours I will pay for the postage for you to send it to me. The newer RD132 locker has the "timed gears" which makes them a lot stronger. The case is also a solid piece now, same design as their pro lockers for racing cars I believe. You don'tsay what model your vehicle is so it is hard to tell. The RD01 suited the earlier 45 mm bearing IIRC and the later have the 50mm bearing.

I think the ratio is different. 22rs where 4.75 and diesels and v6 I think 4.3
