Do you suggest removing the OziExplorer2.cfg file before upgrading to the newer version (from the previous ' development version' ) ???
Have you upgraded - is it any better/worse ??
Cheers

Hello
They suggest that you delete the OziExplorer2.cfg file if upgrading from a previous development version so suspect its a good idea (I didn't which may explain a few "crashes" now that you mention it - problem gone now).

Changes in new version are detailed on the webpage. If none of these ring your bell then there may be no real point in updating at this stage. I have updated and customised a few pages (which took a while as options are numerous). My requirements (with respect to OziCE) are relatively simple so I am easily pleased..maybe others with more varied requirements can provide input. All working sweet but its only been 1 day..plus I have new device (MobileMapper 6) so lots of R&D at moment.

Cheers
Greg

Appearance is quite different to previous version. Will see how it performs tomorrow. All seems ok at the moment.

'Morning Greg
I got around to putting 2.03 in last night. First time it looked a bit dicky. I saved all the data (maps, w/ps etc) off the pda onto the PC.
Wiped all previous Ozi stuff off the pda- then did a fresh install with 2.03.
Reloaded the previous saved data- and away she goes.
Looks a bit busy at this stage. Will have to delete a few of the superflous pages, and a bit of customising.
Have you had luck with yours??

Hello - all seems to be good - I have used it probably for 12 hours in total without any problem. Yes - the default pages are busy alright, a reflection of all the options you have.

As mentioned as far as work goes I have simple needs so I made up a "page file" with only two pages - one is just the map and a small button for creating waypoints at the cursor position and second page has buttons and fields showing UTM/lat long, time, date, GPS on/off, No. Sats, battery power remaining and then all buttons for turning on and of the various menu bars that are normally on the map screen. These buttons are great as I can turn off all the stuff that consumes screen space when on the map page. The rocker button is used to zoom in and out and change pages (important as I have no other button on the map page to cycle between pages).

When i get time will have to make up page files for geocaching ect

Cheers
Greg

Hi Greg,
Can ya help me with this one.
I've done a 'button' custom job. this had been transferred to the PDA OK.
Have loaded the file in 'Load Button File' through the 'Load Settings"..
However, it doesn't seem to be keeping the setting as it resorts to the standard button setup when it switch on again??

Ave a good one (and don't get lost).

Hello - not sure what that is caused by. I was going to suggest it maybe the old version kicking in but you have deleted all that. Short term solution - Can you delete all page files except the one you want to use? If so, does that help?

Cheers
Greg

Mate- the page files & page setups are working all good. No probs there.
It's the PDA Hardware Control Buttons thats not being saved ?? I did read somewhere that once you 'Load Button File' you then close down or something, can't remember ???
