rredbeak,

i am running 285/75/16 kumho venture A/Ts on my 100 series and love em,they are only cheapies but they deal with everything i chuck at them, graet grip in the wet, excellent gravel and sand grip, mud digging is good considering they are only an A/T.bag out well and seem to show minimal sidewall and tread cutting after numerous rock climbings at 18 psi, overall very happy with them considering i bought them only for the road when i tow the van.they have proved themselves to me and i am taking them to the cape in july.cheers Paul

I have two sets on different vehicles and based on wear obtained from previous brands they wear extremely well. On one vehicle i got over 60K from kuhmo's compared to two sets of bridgestones.
My curent vehicle i have got over 70k compared to the 40 k obtained from the bridgestones fitted from new.

Most of my mileage is open road so as far as off road use goes i ant comment. although the times i have gone bush i have had no complaints regarding traction etc.

One thing i did notice last time was that the face width of the tread for my size , 275/70X16 appears narrow.

If you judge by a dollar per km scale they are good, some of the other brands are good. There are lots of members getting good dolllar/km from some chinese brands as well.

Ultimately it comes down to many factors.

Alan

Wife has 10rs on a paj, have done about 20000ks and appear about one third worn. They have good grip on wet tar, are quite on the road are are surprising capable off road.
Just be aware they do two diff. paterns of road ventures one is more aggresive. I have the less aggresive ones on the Jack and apart from some tramlining am happy with them. Both are ats

I put Khumo 10R15's on my 3litre diesel 4X4 Hilux Trayback and they did over 110,000Kms, mostly on road but a few offroad trip. These were H/Ts. Great value when I only paid about $650 for 4, including the rims (about 7 years ago).
