Hi Dustmike 12
I have just replaced a tank in my vehicle which I purchased from 4wd systems in Adelaide, I looked at a lot of sites but I found them to be the best for two reasons ,construction all made from I think 3mm steel and has a neet finish, price tag of $800 to my door .one place hear in melbourne wanted just over $1000 for a tank 12 litres less, if you are like me and have a spare car you will have extra time and you can fit it yourself and save $.
Cheers

Are they made of some sort of steel that wont rust.
Or just plain stuff?

i did a bit of ringing around some tanks that are mild steel only
could rust on the inside if contaminated fuel get in.

Yeh they might look like good value and work fine for a while, but then when you inevitably get a bit of moisture in there they will start to rust and clog filters etc
If you can only afford a cheap one, you probly can't afford to fix things later.
There should be some sort of standard for this sort of thing, imagine buying a car which was painted on the outside but unpainted were you cant see it :(

Were I work they use gal sheet for cabinets etc and there is a price rise of 25% this month, and this has to be passed on to the customer, but you do get what you pay for I guess
