hello, i was just looking at my 1hz and noticed a small pump being driven off the front of the engine by the timing belt. i have always assumed that this was the power steering pump, but thats at the back of the engine. does anyone know what this pump is for, cause it also has a vaccum line going to the high idle on the fuel pump. thanks.

Hi Sam
If the pump you are talking about is low down on the engine and opposite the p/s pump it is the vacuum pump for the brakes and as you say also the injector pump

The power steering pump sits directly below the fuel pump at the front of the engine.
Cheers Steve.
