I recently purchased a Barrett HF that came with a 20 position Multi Tap Antenna, guy I purchased from has no idea what position is what frequency.
Tried Terlin but they only made a 21 Tap.
Can anyone provide me with this info

Just a suggestion here..
The antenna may have 20 'taps' on it- but when the jumper wire is removed- it gives another (generally the lowest) frequency...

Hummy,

ARe there any markings on the antenna at all? Usually the brand is engraved somewhere.

This may give you a lead to the manufacturer who may be able to help.

Without an antenna analyser it is very difficult to pick what frequencies the taps may be tuned to.

Sorry not much help.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark
The only markings are WL1350 on the base and each tap is numbered 1 to 20 with 1 being on the bottom. Have spoken to Terlin and they dont think its one of theirs as they only have a 21 tap closest to it

It could also be a Bushcom aerial or a Lenmark one, both have manufactured 29 tap aerials in the past AFAIK.

If the antenna were mine, I'd take it to a good 2way radio store, who do installations, and ask them (fortunately we have a good one near here).
I'd expect a fee as it'd probably take a bit of time, but I would expect them, or someone with testing equipment, to be able to figure out what the frequencies are.

Probably not much help to you, but that's how I'd go about finding the frequencies.

Mobilecomms in Coopers Plains or Olbis in Rocklea should be able to help you out.

WL1350 is the length of the wire (wander lead) used to connect the taps.
