Off Topic ! But I need it for trip planning.
I can load GE and enter Map co-ords into fly to and it works a treat but if I enter a town name I get -- GE has detected a network error. Please
check your network connection and try again.- all forums and my email work OK. anyone else struck this problem ?

Hi Bob, I just tried it with my GE and it worked fine, I had to be fairly specific eg. (
brisbane qld, australia) and it flew there straight away.

Thanks for that, I have a sneaky suspicion that I have done something wrong but I am having trouble finding what it is !!

Mate try uninstalling it and then re install it, it may have missed a file during original installation, just MHO.

Possibly just an input error from you, If you try a few changes in what you input you may strike gold. What did you try? If you post that here we can try and see if it was your programme or your input that is the problem

I have uninstalled and re installed, makes no difference.
I have tried specifics as
John suggested,capitalised, punctuated and extended the town name to include State and Country, no go.
GA will fly to my Favorites and co-ords but not towns or cities, as you suggest I will have to look a bit deeper.

Am using GE Plus and if I enter my locality
Bribie Island in "Fly To"
it goes straight to it without adding State or Country

GE worked that way for me until recently so it looks like my keyboard is suffering from fatfinger, I am convinced I have pressed the wrong button somewhere so I will spend some more time looking.

If you are going to reinstall it you really need to eradicate all traces of it and it puts setting and stuff all over the place.
I found about 20
places where I found traces of it. Send me a PM with mail addy and I will explain.
You also really need to do a registry clean of it as
well.
