just started holiday first stop broken hill when my fridge 240 volt element would not work, the gas and 12 volt were okay so fridge could be used, stopped at local caravan shop and was told as the unit was an electrolux r m 361 they were no longer available dometic had taken them over.
quoted me $1280 plus installation for new one, promptly decided up that, and carried on to mildura, where the 12volt element gave up the ghost.
Local firm there also told me no parts available for the model and quoted me the same price as b/h plus $200 installation as the cavity had to be enlarged.
Took me 15 minutes to light the gas after refueling so decided to return home to Adelaide to have it looked at or new one.
Same problem same prices they must all be in with one another then a mate put me onto --S.A. CARAVAN REFRIGERATION --number in yellow pages---rang him at 9am he arrived at house 1 pm, finished repair at 2pm replaced new switch thermostat adjusted burner put it back in and made sure all okay .
total cost $316 and he has plenty of parts available for electrolux fridges.
Away again Monday-- destination wherever

As you travel SPREAD THE WORD and give this person/co a big wrap up.
And congratulations on a win, we nomads don't get that too often.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.
