Navara D40 performance under load

I have been following a recent thread on D40 fuel consumption. I would like to know if anyone can comment on how they perform towing 2500kg to 3000kg both manual and auto. Looking forward to comments.

2 mates have diesel Naravas and 5th wheel horse floats that they cart their rodeo horses on and they would weigh between 2500 and 3000kg when loaded.
Both have told me they have no trouble towing at all driving between 100 and 110 with enough get up and go to pass, the extra horses in the back might be the answer though.
