hi all,in trouble again so am calling on the club for some more valuable info, have an ap50 cruise fitted to our 80 series(18 mths),it has stopped working and have traced it to the speed sensor /magnet area,am wondering is it possible to wire it into the speed pulse generator already on the cruiser (back of transfer case),have tried to buy an spg147 but apparently not made anymore thanks all peter p

I really doubt that, the instructions that came with my unit say nothing about other inputs.
Have you checked the brake and clutch switches? If the wiring there comes off (or switch goes faulty)the cruise control stops working.
My control stopped working once and only after I checked everything else I found the clutch switch had moved out of alignment. The speed sensor is pretty rugged, you could have lost the magnets but that would be obvious to see.

Peter
I have had 2 of these fitted over the years, one manual, and the other electronic.
Had trouble with the vacuum actuator on the original one only, so I gave them a call on 02-9316 5033, if they are still there.
There is a
test mode, that you can switch into at startup, (on either)
The Electronic one has been simply brilliant.
Sorry I cannot be of more help
Cheers
Bucky
