G'day ladies & gents,

Probably a silly question but one that has been bugging me.

My GPS will hold 15 saved tracks. Will Mapsource hold more tracks than this so that I'm able to transfer the tracks that I would like and leave the rest on the computer.

Mapsource just seems to transfer all or none to and from the GPS, admittedly I only have 5 or so tracks saved but was curious as to how it worked if I exceeded 15.

I'm new to GPS and have searched the forums they are a great starting point, but the fiddly questions are hard to find.

G'day Rav, I don't own one but I saw a friend playing around with tracks the other night and she planned the trip in different sections, but then joined them all together.
I guess they effectively became one track then.
She was using City Navigator, but maybe you can do the same on Mapsource.

Cheers,

I think I have found it - you can save tracks and waypoints, maps etc. and open new project - got it!

I told you it was silly!

I'm still working it all out and the best way to save my tracks - its pretty remote up here, I havn't got any maps for the area on GPS yet - will have a look - what are "shonky maps" like?

You can save any amount of tracks with Mapsource, they're just saved as separate files and can be called up and loaded into the GPS at will
