Has anyone got one of these?
I was thinking of getting one to put into my 'grab bag'
If you have one what maps have you loaded onto it?

I posted a thread a couple of weeks on the Rino but got no replies.
I have one and can't fault the GPS with OZ toppo V2.
2 reasons I got it was liked the idea of the handheld UHF as it was 1 less gissmo to lug around. (up to 20 k's range they recon) And my girl works in a camping store and I wrangled it off her boss for cost price,(1/2), other wise I wouldn't have spent the $$$$. The accessaries will bump the price too!
As it stands I am having problems with UHF, it wont work, so I'm am taking it into GME
Perth in a few days to try and sort the problem!
Spoke to an older couple who were prospecting with a group and they all had Rinos, cruising around on 4 wheelers. They could track each others movements when they were out of UHF range, as the GPS was networked together.

If they were out of range how were the GPS's linked together?
Also 20km is a bit of a stretch, I wouldnt rely on them past 5km, not to say they wont go further but hmm 20 is a bit far.
That said I am firmly of the one thing does one thing brigade. If it breaks youve lost your GPS AND your UHF, etc etc
but if you got it cheap, then GET ME ONE TOO heheheh

Thanks for the reply
I would be interested to hear how you get on with your UHF repair.
Bonz
Yes, you are correct - If you lose one your lose the other.
