Telegherry camp site ( barrington tops )

Greetings guys - about 2 months ago i went to camp at Telegherry camp area in barrington tops - to find the gate was locked and sign said closed ..... ( no explanation) so ended up heading over to coachwood instead.... ( walked in and could not see any problem )

Now can anyone tell me if its still closed ( locked) or if its open again?

did look on NPWS website after i got home ( when it was locked ) and there was no mention on there at all .... any help appreciated

thanks

Boc

g'day,

best to give parks a call i reckon. could change depending on the weather, eg. widow makers or risk of damage after heavy rains perhaps.

ahh yes too right you are indeed, Chichester as I recall.....was actually thinking about camping on the Karuah there this weekend but is probably pretty sloppy and the leeches and ticks will be out on the weather change tomorrow.

speaking of ticks - about 3 weeks ago camped out near ladies well( barrington tops ) -- took the dog also ---

washed the dog on the monday - felt a lump ...... a tick -- then another , then another ..... 14 in total

so a timely reminder people , if you take rover give him/ her a very thorough check ...

Was the water up at the time you went to go in.
They may have closed it to because the water crossing was too high. Great place Chichester State Forest. Will be heading to Fryingpan Creek in January for the All Terrain
Camper Trailer weekend....can't wait its a ball rain, hail or shine...

Only ever had two ticks on me. One was from Telegherry and the other, Chichester.
