In a few weeks time I have my 2003 100 series IFS in for a stack of work (Who hoo) including a 2inch lift, replacing shocks and springs. The guys at the 4wd shop convinced me at the time that I would only be wasting my money replacing the torsion bars and they will just wind them up to suit the lift.

While iam pleased they are not trying to sell me as much gear as they can, Iam concerned that the older bars will sag sooner than a newer set. I wound them up about 6 months ago and although i forgot to keep the measurements iam sure they have dropped a bit already.

Would I be best to get them to replace them while they are at it?

Thoughts?!?

sagging represents the torsion bars twisting, if you have done it twice, and they are already twisting, i would replace them Colby.
they only twist so much and then snap.

Also consider by lifting the ifs model the front wheel track narrows. I believe you can get away with 2" lift but consider the full kit, a few $ involved but will be done properly. There is a bolt on x member i think which pushes the lower arm out the keep the standard track. I am not a full bottle on it but have looked into it a little. Mabye someone can help out in a more detail

Do it if you are adding bullbar/winch or if it already has these on.
