Hey Warren,
Dont know if this will help but i have a landrover & take it to M.R. Auto in Redcliffe Ph: 3284 6688 (Rover specialist). I've used them 3 times and can highly recommend them. Pretty sure they work on all makes of car.
They know what they are doing and all 3 times the cost has been lower than their original quote (a rarety these days).
Cheers
Jason

We have used MR Automotive for our Landrovers with "Landrover Problems" for a 5 years now and are OK with them. They say that they look after all 4WD's but we have never taken our Troopy there.

I say OK, the quality of the work over the last 2 visits has not been up to scratch when fixing basic problems so we are looking for somewhere else next time when we have a Landrover specific problem.

We live on Bribie Island and use Jacks Tyre and Mechanical Ph 07 3408 1821 for our Troopy and when we have non-Landrover problems on the Rangie. His workshop is a dump, BUT he does really good work at the right price. Do not be put off by his workshop. We have used him for 5 years and never ever had a problem with him or his workmanship.

The first time we used him, Jack worked until 11pm to get our problems fixed as he knew we had to travel next day - excellent service.

We used to use Toyota in Morayfield, good service but expensive.

I thought you would have left all your LR problems back on the Kauri Coast Steve, Good to see you have a Troopy now :-))

You are dead right about the workshop, Went in once never again.
You may have had good service but I will never patronise a place that is as untidy as that.

Usually find the work is as rough as the appearance of the place.

I use Jonkers for my service Expensive yes but clean and tidy.

We have sold at at Banksia and are heading off south next week.

Kiwi Kia

No, bought the Freelander over when we moved here 6 years ago from Auckland, sold it and got a Rangie - good vehicle and a lot more reliable than the Freelander. Trips like the Kauri coast and the dozens of other harder trips in NZ were not kind to the Freelander and our wallet suffered for our fun when it ran out of warrenty.

Had the Troopy for 6 years now and it has been super reliable and we have done most of QLD, NSW, VIC and SA in it over the last 6 years. It is a pop-top camper and we love it. Other than the camper conversion and dual batteries, it is competly standard which suits us.

Leaving Banksia, we live in Marina Blvd and before that, Tradewinds Dr. Why are you leaving Bribie? We love it here and would not dream of moving. If you want to, email me at stevesub at yahoo.com

Sorry to contradict you honestjohn, but my experience with northside 4x4 is less than reccomendable.

I won't go on about it, but once the problem between myself and Northside was established I was unable to speak with Jamie as he was "out to lunch" or "popped out for a job" making it very difficult to rectify the problem we had between each other. I think if you caught them on a good day you may get a good result (they do have a lot of experience in the industry) but too bad if you don't get them on the good day.

Pretty bold statement "they know everything that needs to be known about Nissan's and Tojo's" if you ask me.

Regards, Trevor.
