G'day J & V

My young bloke has a couple of invesment vehicles in his back yard, if the Gov is going to give $3000 each for older vehicles he said that he is going down the back with the slasher to see if he can find them ...))

Cheers

As usual with these type of articles the data used is of a limited nature.

What they leave out is all the natural resources and energy required to produce and deliver a new vehicle as opposed to the fact that "debt" has already been paid on the older vehicle.

It would be really nice to see the full environmental picture in these kinds of analysis.

ie. The amount of air pollution produced, raw materials and energy consumed by keeping a car say 12 years versus replacing it 3 times at 4 yearly intervals!

But hey, that may slew the result toward accuracy and we can't have that!

I have a 1938 dodge sedan that will run on LPG only and if they are happy to give me an additional $37000 on top of the $3000 they are offering they can have it ,(but just like the gun buy back scheme I bet it wont be crushed LOL! )
