hey people new to this site i'm planning a trip round oz very soon but need some help with a 2nd battery

dry cell?
deep cycle?
which is better?
it needs to run a engel 64ltr fridge freezer plus other ramdom stuff when camping but it is mainly for the engel

would anyone know what would gimme the best power and time output before a recharge i know it depend on the heat of day on how hard the engel works but just need a alround good battery

My DC27 (Deep Cycle) lasted for over 6 years and I only got rid of it because I was worried it would have to 'die' one day and I did not want it to be when I was away.

I replaced it with AGM Deep Cycle !!

When you read the various battery manufacturers technical specs they will give you some guided information as to what type of battery to use to run a fridge.
After all they have to warrant the product, if they say one battery is better, ie: longer warranty running a fridge than another, then they must know something some others don't know.
It's a bit like going to your Doctor for serious medical advice, then talking to the milkman and disregarding your Doctors original advice :-)

What about a Supreme deep cycle 115 amp.hrs (made in USA) for about $220.Just bought one for my next trip and seems to be OK for me.
