Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with AusTrack Camper trailers in Hervey Bay?

They seem to look very well made and I am wondering why they are quite a bit cheaper than other similar trailers (eg Johnnos Camper Trailers).

Would love to hear from anyone who has a Austrack or who has used one.

cheers

We have an austrack camper and LOVE IT! we have 8 kids and it sleeps us all with plenty of room to spare. We have taken it up to the cape and it was one of the few that actually made it with no dramas. Trailers strong and tent is sturdy. Have had to repaint the trailer but having said that we have done heaps of miles. Adelaide, townsville, cape york, grafton just to name a few.T5he price was reasonable compared to others and Kevin, the guy that owns them, is terrific and offers service pre, during and post buying. The trailer is made to your specification and he takes the time to listen to your needs. Ii know Im sounding like a advert for the trailers but just had to report to you. If you buy one, I doubt you'll regret it, we dont.

Thanks,

a few q's
How old is your trailer
Was your trailer custom made (specifications away from the norm)?
If you have a kitchen, how have you found it has lasted (Wood as opposed to metal)?
any problems with rust?
Generally how has the trailer handled the rough stuff?
Any small problems that have arisen with this model?

cheers

Our trailer is a year old the trailer is pretty much standard apart from extra water gas bottle holders. We have drifta swing out kitchen(wood) and are real happy with it.Rust was a problem where the paint was chipped off by stones and driving across tea crossing in S.A but wire brush coat of paint fixed that.Tows extremely well, very good over the rough stuff.Things we dont like takes two to put up, The tent peg holders ripped out easier than they should have but we fixed those too. We seen some of those more expensive ones, they were a lot smaller.

And to you Axel, I agree opions dont mean much, look at ur for example completely meaningless. If you do however have info and facts as such that " could save the guy dollars" maybe ur comments would be better put to use in other ways but IM guessing just not
