Great little machine but what will it run?

Recently acquired this Honda EX350 2 stroke generator.

Very light and quiet but it only puts out a modified square wave so I'm not actually sure what it will run.

How can I use it to maintain the Troopy's aux 100Ah AGM when camped instead of lugging around a larger Honda?

Thinking a small 3 stage battery charger or would I have to use a cheaper 2 stage because the outputs not pure sine wave?

John

Check out thread 55347

By the way , I'm after one John if it proves to be not what your after.

Because they were two stroke I used to carry on a plane without fuel to various sites.

3 or 2 stage makes no difference to wether it runs of modded sine wave, the real issue is the power supplies fan and it speed.

In general any 7 amp charger should work - but do plug charger in first and note its fan speed is same as on mains 240vac.

Would be wary of plugging in a 7amp Ctec charger ,, no fan / speed able to check .....

Yes thks saw the other post but wanted to particularly ask about which battery charger would be best to run off this thing.

Bainbridge reckon the Ctek 7 capacitors could have a problem unless it's pure sine.

I'll let you know Robin if it ends up on the shelf.

I recently was given the same generator by my very generous brother who had no further use for it. Have given it very kittle use, just played with it mainly. Runs my electric drill really well. Must admit I put no load on the drill. Good for lighting. Mainly plan to use for it for emergency power only. Charging battery etc.Only 350w, but so small and quiet, it's worth its place in the box. Cheers.
