OK, I'm a great believer in conspiracy theories.

Right now I'm watching a movie on Foxtel called "The Invasion". It's about a virus epidemic where everyone is encouraged to line up for inoculation.

Only the inoculation contains an alien life form that is taking over the people's bodies.

I'm not going anywhere near Tamiflu or any other "antidote" for this Swine Flu ruse.

If this thread is removed by the Moderators it will be proof that the Mods have already been turned and my theory is correct.

Now where is that roll of alfoil. I need to make a new hat....

You are right, but what it really is about is to take focus away from the reporting season in business so that we don't get to see how much money we are losing and how much money the CEO's are getting

I fully concur. I think many governments around the world have jumped on this swine flu as a distraction to their current issues.

Over the last couple of years we have had potential pandemic outbreaks that seem to come to nothing. Maybe the precautions did work or maybe they were just a beat up.

But then again we would be the first to whinge about governments and WHO not doing enough if it did get out of hand like the Spanish 'flu that killed hundreds of thousands of people. Reckon it's better to be safe than sorry.

Yep but <20% for the world's population has access to vaccinations and even fewer actually have them. Hygiene....well that might be a plus in 1st world countries but you just have to look in some of the slum areas of major cities around the world ....our's included...to see that hygiene is not a high priority of everyone. Might be OK in the suburbs and among the educated but not necessarily the case for all. And, for this particular virus there is no vaccination.

HOW do we know you don't work for the authorities and are throwing us off trail with this alternate conspiracy?

What gets me about this current Pandemic is that the Health Dept of WA sent out a warning last year to all Local Authorities on what to do if a pandemic reached our shores, how to prepare for the pandemic, to ensure that business continuity plans are in place, and what to expect if one occurred in WA.

Yes, I reckon it's just another furphy like all those listed above: HK flu, SARS etc..

Who remembers when the Y2K bug was going to send us back to our caves ??

In the last few years that I had my electronics shop I put a sign in front of the computers:

"All these computers are Y3K Compatible (fully refundable if it's not)"

They sold like hotcakes.

People will believe anything, unfortunately.

SARS
Swine Flu
Global warming
Y2K
The big recession
Asteroid strike
etc

All pushed to death by our media. Newspapers make sure that their editorial comment can be read by the average 12 year old.

The company who brings out the "Chicken Licken Gazette" will make a fortune....or is it already in publication..?
