I left my 100 series in shed for 4 weeks and main battery died, now the remote key won't work the central locking. The locks work OK with key in door or switch just not the remote. Tried to reprogram by turning on/off 20 times etc. as per Toyota instructions, with new batteries in car and remote, but no luck. Any suggestions to rectify please?

You have to do the whole 20 times bit WITHIN the time stated for doing it
Cant remember the remote one but for my alarm its 9 times and must be done WITHIN like less than 9 seconds to make it go into programming mode.

If I remember rightly u have to open a door put key in and turn it on and off 20 times all within the 20 secs so u have to move fast.
Doesnt say that exactly so I went to Toyota and they showed me how to do it.
It chirps twice if you are in programming mode so u will know when u get it right

Sometimes if u have no programmed remotes its harder to do and toyota have to do it.
Best of luck

Is this how, what they refer to as a "clone" copy, will get programmed?

We bought the LC at Christmas and the seller claims he couldn't find the second key.

Dont forget to stand on your left leg with the right leg out of the passenger window - otherwise the Microwaves won't work ..

Isnt this business just SOOOO crazy -

The old Jeep had to have drivers door opened and flick key
on and off 5 times and then it would beep the error code
in question and usually it beeped 5 and 5 - which means
something not specified is in error !!

Good luck

One of our 100 series remotes is not working - could it be a battery issue or do I need to buy another remote?

If its the little oval shaped one press the button and see if the little red light in the end away from the keyring groove comes on.
If so its not the battery.
I havent got my handbook but I think it tells you how to reprogram them in there.
Otherwise take it to a dealer and they may either do it , show you how , or tell you how to do it..
As I said a new one which will still need progamming is about $38.
Cheers
