How can choose right solar panels for my power system?

Have a question for choosing solar panels.

If I like to set up 3000Wp system to generate power, how can I choose right panels for installation? There are several types of panels for my choice,130W per panel,150 W per panel,180 W per panel and 200W per panel, the price for each watt is the same, Looking forward to your response, thanks in advance!

Have you tried a solar power website or forum? Most caravan and 4x4 needs are serviced by a couple of hundred watts of power meaning that the requirments regarding controllers, storage etc are a lot less. You sound like you will be powering a house which goes way beyond a campers modest needs.

There are plenty of alternative power information websites as well as some govt sites regarding use of solar energy for homes.

Good luck.

Buy a book from Collyn Rivers - he's done all the technical research and publishes his books with the all the options and strategies in them. Best $50 odd $ I've spent for awhile.

Thats a lot of power - Hope you have a large roof area .

20 panels at 150w = 15 metres X 2 metres roughly
