Yes we did a couple of years ago. It was called Chilie (Chilly)? Beach then. A traditional owner couple were trying to establish a caravan park nearby. It was still very early in it's development is the best I could say about it (no power, basic water, non-existant hot shower all for $36 per night). THe Park was situated a few kilometers from
the beach eached by a sandy track that came out beside the creek. We could only
camp at the caravan park but the traditional owners had no problem with us driving to
the beach which was almost completely covered in small shells and there were heaps of small osyters on the rocks but we got eaten alive by the sandflies on
the beach near the creek. We had to b careful driving on
the beach because the sand was softer closest to the water. For us it was only a useful overnighter to leave the Caravan while exploring the top end of the Cape. If we did it again we would just leave the van at
Middle Lagoon unless the Park has been significantly upgraded or try another
camp ground we believe is up there somewhere (not the one right at the top because they only allow tents and campervans)
Cheers,
Al-one

Al-one,
Chile Creek and Chilly Beach are not the same.
Chile Creek is in WA and Chilly Beach is up
Cape York

Great Spot,
Traditional owner have the site just around from their house, and have setup a
camping area with
toilets and showers, very comfortable and good area to explore the cape from. Fishing is good at the creek mouth and off
the beach, boat would be handy if you really want to get a line wet seriously.
Cheers
