Longreach to Cairns - Best Route

Hi all,
A few options for going from
Longreach to
Cairns.
I'm doing it in one day so its a big drive and I'm looking for the most efficient route. May not be the shortest.
Have looked on Google etc.. and reckon
Winton, Hugenden,
Townsville. All sealed roads. But longest route by 100ks or more - but if the average speed is 10kph better then that won't matter much.
