Just would like to know if the toyota hilux extra cab model has ever come out with the 3L turbo diesel motor? cheers

Hey Tambi,
From memory and just having a quick look at the RED BOOK (
http://www.redbook.com.au/) web page, the extra cab is about the only model that hasn't come out with the turbo. Not quite sure why this is, but I am sure someone out there knows why. I have just bought a 2001 hilux extra cab 4WD but don't actually get it for a couple of weeks. I am so looking forward to it as it is my first 4WD and cant wait to really learn a few things about 4WDriving. And get out there and have a hell of a lot of fun!!

you just bet me i just looked there and toyota site and cant find extra cab ant where with the turbo engine either.

Thanks fellas. It seems a bit silly that the extra cab isn't available with the turbo motor. I was really hoping to buy one in that specification, bugga!
